While learning my trade with some of the leading local decorating companies I trained at Brunel Technical College, Bristol where I was awarded my City & Guilds Craft certificate in 1987 then going on the following year to be awarded my City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate passing with distinctions.

Following almost 10 years working on every aspect of the decorating trade including private home owners, period & listed property restorations, commercial property refurbishments & quality new build projects, I established Cabot Decorating in 1996. In 1999 after passing ICI's strict vetting procedures I enrolled as a Dulux Select Decorator a unique partnership between Dulux & UK professional decorators.

Based in Downend Bristol my company’s reputation has been built on working to the highest professional standards, giving the best possible advice on the most appropriate finishes, and latest decorating techniques.

With over 25 years experience as a painter and decorator I have realised it can be difficult having work carried out at your home or workplace so I aim to keep the mess and disruption to the absolute minimum always leaving your property clean and tidy.

In June 2009 after 10 successful years in the Dulux Select Decorator scheme I ended my company’s association to allow complete freedom to choose the most appropriate paint and materials for my work at the most competitive prices available passing on real value to my customers.
