The bedroom shown below was brightened up with a window feature wall using Next Green Trail Wallpaper to add more colour and interest.

Bradbury & Bradbury Modernism Wallpaper
For this groovy retro feature wall the client chose Bradbury & Bradbury Mellotron wallpaper from their Modernism Collection. An untrimmed, wide width wallcovering with some special hanging instructions. The wall was cross lined the day before to provide a sound surface for wallpapering before dry trimming the selvage, measuring up and marking out the wall.

Here I was asked to hang another Laura Ashley wallpaper feature wall in Bristol. The customers chose Kimono in Duck Egg blue on a pearlescent background featuring pale blue chrysanthemums.
This wallpaper didn’t look too good when it was first hung but quickly began to dry back..

Feature Walls in Emersons Green
Here we have some more feature walls completed in Emerson’s Green, Bristol this week. The customer chose quality wallcovering Laura Ashley Lyra Damask with a large floral design on a shimmering pearlescent background. Adjacent walls were painted Dulux Forest Lake 3 to match the floral motif in the wallpaper.

Decorating in Stoke Bishop Bristol
Cabot Decorating answered a call for help from homeowners in Stoke Bishop recently when they got into some difficulties with their DIY decorating project.
As part of extensive home improvements they have designed and built a fantastic gamesroom in the garden of there property but soon realized that the quality of the paint finishes is just as important as the design and build. The impressive feature ceiling with its twinkling fibre-optic lighting was painted in Dulux Oxford Blue flat matt with brilliant white on the deep pelmet surround housing subtle down lighters. The walls were prepare and painted in Dulux Soft Stone washable Diamond Matt with Dulux Ruby Starlet on the feature wall and the skirting’s were finished in brilliant white gloss.

Feature walls have become a bit of a speciality this year, here a bold green stripe wallpaper from Arthouse was chosen for this bedroom feature wall in Warmley.
Painting & Decorating in Bristol
I have uploaded a few photos of completed lounge decorated in Bristol’s Emersons Green this week.
The coving was picked out in brilliant white vinyl silk. The feature wall was painted in muted red vinyl matt colour Raspberry Diva combined with Gentle Fawn vinyl matt both from the Dulux colour range. Woodwork was finished in brilliant white gloss.

Cabot Decorating wallpapered this feature wall in Redland Bristol this week. The customer chose top quality wallcovering Laura Ashley Kimono in vivid Cranberry on linen background with pearlescent inks. A nice wallpaper to hang with an easy 36cm straight match.

Following on from interior decorating in BS16 Cabot Decorating have redecorated the hallway, stairs and landing in this modern home in Downend, Bristol. Flock Wallpaper Makes a Statement
As a specialist wallpaper hanger I was only too glad to take on the challenge of hanging this delicate flock wallpaper down an awkward stairwell at The Bell in Stapleton, Bristol. A former public house currently being converted into private homes. The client chose paste the wall Statement Alanis Genuine Flock Wallpaper A grand floral design featuring lavish deep red flock on linen colour background with a 64cm drop pattern match. Flock wallpapers are particularly delicate and getting adhesive on the face of the wallcovering must be avoided as it will damage the flock. The newly plastered wall was sealed with a water based primer/sealer and allowed to dry for 24 hours. To paste the wall I used Fat Hog All Purpose Wallpaper Adhesive applied with a 9 inch mohair roller applying a generous amount of adhesive to the wall in sections slightly wider than the 21cm width of the wallpaper. I matched the drop pattern on the paste table using alternate rolls to avoid waste. The hardwood handrail was easily unscrewed however the cast iron brackets were fixed into the wall with epoxy resin so I trimmed around each bracket individually with a sharp decorators knife.

Laura Ashley Feature Wall
Cabot Decorating have just completed decorating a modern town house in Bristol. The comfortable lounge has a wallpapered feature wall using Laura Ashley Isodore wallcovering in Linen colour featuring a nice floral design with subtle pearlescent inks. A really great wallpaper to hang despite the numerous obstacles!
The ceilings throughout the ground floor were all painted in brilliant white vinyl matt. All the walls which included the lounge, kitchen, dining room, playroom and a cloakroom were painted in Natural Hessian washable Diamond Matt from Dulux. The doors and trim were all painted in white undercoat and brilliant white gloss paint.
Painting and Decorating in South Gloucestershire
Cabot Painting and Decorating decorated this large reception room whilst the clients were on holiday to minimise any disruption. The wide ceiling and plasterwork were painted in brilliant white vinyl matt paint. The walls were prepared and some aspects were picked out in Dulux Sandstone washable Diamond Matt paint finish.
To complete this decorating project the remaining walls were papered in a glamorous Sanderson ‘Creses’ design wallpaper from the Amari Collection, with eye-catching metallic chrysanthemums on subtle leaves in shades of aubergine. Its important to chose the right adhesive for luxury wallpaper’s. I used Fat Hog All Purpose Wallpaper Adhesive from Johnstone’s Decorating Centre which is recommended for Sanderson Wallcovering’s.
Bedroom Feature Wall in Emerson’s Green
To complete this bedroom makeover in Emerson’s Green, Bristol this week the customer chose a floral design from John Lewis Gerbera Duck Egg to compliment the Jasmine White walls. The woodwork was painted in brilliant white undercoat and gloss while the ceiling was finished in brilliant white vinyl matt paint.
